May 2005 — presentation of plaques honoring Scott Sampson and Scott McVicars (crew supervisor and mechanic respectively) from the Nevada Divison of Forestry's Ely Conservation Camp.
The two Scott's were honored for exceptional dedication and service to the State of Nevada and the Division of Forestry in facilitating and expediting the completion of utility trailers during limited financial conditions.
Steve Robinson congratulated Scott Sampson and Scott McVicars on behalf of the Governor's office and said that Gov. Guinn is very proud of the work that has been done in Ely. Robinson said that when he was with the agency, the program was one of the best kept secrets in the State and Nevadans would be pleased with the program.
Allen Biaggi said that he came into his position the same week as the Waterfall fire and was duly impressed. He understands the level of dedication and sacrifices that NDF staff make to get the project done and thanked Scott Sampson and Scott McVicars on behalf of the department.
Pete Anderson said that he couldn't be happier with both individuals. He said that when you contact Scott or Scott at the Ely office you get 100% of their attention. The State has saved a lot of money because of the job accomplishments of the Division of Forestry.
